Translation: Step 6 - Submit Translation

When all texts are translated, an archive can be created which contains all translated text files. When you send this archive to the author of MyTourbook, the translations will be published with the next version.

 

Set Language 

Since Version 16.11, there is a new procedure (easier and simpler) to export the translated files. The exported archive will include files only from one language and not from all languages as before.

By default the language of your System will be used, however another language could be used. To use another language, start Eclipse with a language parameter, in this example the language Italian, French or German is used:

eclipse.exe -nl it
eclipse.exe -nl fr
eclipse.exe -nl de

The used language can be verified in the log view.

 

Export Language Files

  • Select create-export-archive.launch file in the translation-export project, this is a new project in version 16.11, so it is possible that first this project must be imported
  • Open context menu and select Run As /  create-export-archive

  • The console view shows the log for creating the archive file

  • The archive file will be in the root folder of the projects, see also the log which shows the filepath
