History Tour

The main purpose of a history tour is to display photos in a chronological sequence. It's not a real tour but it is displayed in the Ausgewählte Tour Tour Chart view. History tours are created in the photos and tours Photos + Tours view.

This picture shows photo markers for the time range 1700 - 2020. The displayed images are dummy images to test this feature.

Time range

The time range of a history tour can be from centuries to seconds, depending which photos it contains.

A history tour (even when it displays centuries) can be zoomed in that only seconds are displayed. The zoom position marker gives a hint of the zoom location (it was mainly implemented for history tours but is also displayed for real tours).

This picture shows the same history tour (as the above picture) but it's zoomed in.

Central European Time

When testing the implementation of a history tour, I discovered that there was a gap of some minutes between the EXIF time and the time on the x-axis. I did some experiments with different times and discovered, that the gap occured at 1st April 1893. Searching the internet for this date gave me a hint and found this document:
http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/clockchange.html?n=37&year=1893

6 minutes and 32 seconds are skipped in the Central European Time zone at 1 April 1893
